The Magical Mystery Tour may not be truly magical, but if you are very, very lucky it can reserve some surprises. The tourists who a few days ago got on the bus that takes fans to visit the key places in Liverpool linked to the Beatles can attest to this.
The BBC reported it. At an intersection on Hope Street, stopped at a red light, the bus found itself alongside a car. On board was Paul McCartney who looked out the window and greeted the fans. Macca was in town for a ceremony at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts honoring actor Stephen Graham.
The icing on the cake: McCartney showed the phone with which he was video calling Ringo Starr at that moment. “Surreal,” said guide Neil Morton. “They asked us not to take photos, but I managed to take one.” Ringo reposted it on his Instagram profile.
