The choice of Marina Rei once again confirms the coherence of the award, which every year entrusts the role to a prominent singer-songwriter on the Italian scene. Before her, among others, Levante, Arisa, Tosca, Paola Turci, Nada, Margherita Vicario and Nina Zilli took turns. The bond of Marina Rei with author's music she starts from afar: raised in a family of musicians, she was born as a percussionist and drummer even before being a singer-songwriter, and this dual nature runs through her entire discography, up to her latest album No lovereleased in 2025 and produced by Riccardo Sinigallia.
