Lana Del Rey will publish together with Stove what he defines as a “beautiful second album” whose songs represent various moments of the work carried out in the last four years.
He announced it in a post on Instagram explaining that he spent a lot of time “waiting for things to fall into place and just as much time wondering if it was right that they were falling apart instead.” In the meantime, what he calls a was born large companion album made with the help “of as many people as possible, to collect my thoughts on how much things were changing”.
If Stove was conceived as a classic album, the second album was born little by little and became «a sort of commentary on everything that happened, on the patience that was necessary and on the trust I had to have in the fact that it wasn't my fault if certain things didn't work». The singer added that she will need another month to complete the work and then print the two albums, “among the most beautiful I have made”.
The nature of Stove has changed over time and it is possible that the companion album announced documents such changes. At first the album had to be called PeriodThen The Right Person Will Stay and finally Stove. It was announced as a country album, then closer to a dark declination of Americana, finally the unclassifiable single was released White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter.
In the image posted by Del Rey there are two vinyls, one with a portrait of her framed by flowers and titled on the cover Stoveanother depicting a boat called Spyda, which could therefore be the title of the sister album, especially since in the message on Instagram it uses images related to navigation, thanks those who “stayed on board with me” and wishes the best “to all those who remained on land”.
