England are one win away from their first World Cup final since 1966, and Liam Gallagher believes it. After the 2-1 win over Norway thanks to Jude Bellingham's brace in Miami, the Oasis singer entrusted his prediction to X: «We will win this World Cup. I don't know how and I don't care, compared to all those players and the coach, you have to do it.” Then the inevitable quote, «Come on England, come on Wonderwall».
We're winning this WC I don't know how don't care respect to all those players manager you gotta make it happen LG x

The 1995 song has now become the soundtrack of the English national team in this tournament. At the end of the matches Harry Kane and his teammates sing it with the crowd, like after the victory over Norway. It had already happened against Croatia, Panama and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and especially after the 3-2 win over Mexico, when Kane sang so loudly that he lost his voice. That same night, Jordan Henderson broke his wrist, running towards his classmates to join the choir.
Noel Gallagher had previously given his blessing to the song as England's World Cup anthem, saying the song “belongs to the people”. Now it's Liam who raises. After Wonderwall recorded a 50 per cent increase in Spotify ratings in the UK thanks to the tournament, and after a fan wrote to him that it was “obligatory” to fly to sing it live on the pitch in case of the final, the singer responded by saying he had already thought about it: “We'll see, I'm ready.”
The semi-final against world champion Argentina will be played on Wednesday 15 July in Atlanta. If they win, England will reach the final on 19 July in New York. Liam is already hot.
