This is the deep house reinterpretation of his first song as a singer-songwriter, Let Mereleased in September 2021, brought back to the dancefloor today thanks to the production of Porchilo DJ.
The singer-songwriter returns like this later Superstarthe summer single released in April 2026 and remained in the independent radio charts for several weeks. With this new version the song changes skin: the BPM rises, the vocal construction is revised and the flow becomes more direct, with a tension that grows until the drop. Anita Brightfly's voice and the 80s British pop roots of the original remain intact, but taken in a warmer, club-oriented direction.
The value of this operation lies in the text, which the remix does not betray. Let Me it was the first of a series of songs entirely written by the artist and deals with the theme of an emotionally and psychologically suffocating relationship. He does it through a clear verse in the chorus, “Let me be quiet… or let me die”an image told with apparent detachment, as if to mark the transition from awareness to liberation.

«I am turning to an important person in my life from whom I want, at all costs, to free myself: not only in reality, but above all within myself. He is a deeply toxic and manipulative presence. I ask you to leave me free: free to express myself, free to exist, free to make mistakes. I ask you to respect my individuality, without judging me. It's not necessarily a man, as some might think. The English language allowed me to deliberately maintain this ambiguity, because I do not wish to reveal its identity.”
The choice of English, therefore, is not just aesthetic: it serves to keep the identity of the recipient open. Who is Anita Brightfly
Anita Brightfly was born in London on 19 August 1970, to a French mother and an Italian father. His artistic path takes shape in 2020 and, at the end of 2021, his first singer-songwriter song arrives, precisely Let Me.
