Barbie has a long history of honoring some of the most recognizable figures across pop culture, history, and everyday heroism. There was the Stevie Nicks doll, which sold out at record speed, an astronaut doll paying tribute to Dr. Ellen Ochoa, and of course, the viral Aaliyah figurine. Now, another famous face is getting the Mattel treatment: Miley Cyrus.
Barbie officially announced today that the three-time Grammy Award winner is the newest addition to the Mattel family, and her exclusive Barbie is now available to purchase for $60 at Amazon, Walmart, and Target (at the time of publication, Target has the doll listed for $55.99).
“Seeing my Barbie for the first time is truly a dream come true. We spent so much time digging into every detail. That wasn't only important to me in designing the Barbie; it's central to my creativity and to how I represent myself,” Cyrus said in a statement released by Mattel.
“We didn't miss a thing when it came to the design of my doll: the look, the hair, the accessories, the makeup, the structure. Every detail was intentional, and we spent a lot of time perfecting her — not to make her perfect, because that wouldn't feel representative of me, but to really capture the essence of this golden Burning Sun look.”

And while you might think you've seen Miley Cyrus' face behind a shiny box sitting on a mass retailer shelf before, you wouldn't be wrong.
Hannah Montana dolls, the character Cyrus portrayed from 2006 to 2011, were a massive hit among consumers and became some of the most sought-after collectibles of the mid-2000s alongside other Disney favorites like High School Musicals and That's So Raven. But it's important to note: this marks the first Signature Miley Cyrus Collectible Barbie doll.

The launch arrives during an exciting moment for Cyrus, who recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana and was also inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame last month. While the Barbie was officially announced on June 30, fans had been predicting something big for quite some time, with followers posting reactions like, “If it is a Miley Cyrus Barbie I will die,” across Facebook and
Now, lovers of the “Flowers” singer finally have their chance, and if this release performs anything like Barbie's previous music-industry collaborations, you may want to act fast. This one could be hard to get your hands on — consider it a massive “Climb” to check out.
