The Coca-Cola Pizza Village takes the field in support of the candidacy of Neapolitan song listed as a UNESCO intangible heritage of humanity. From 7 to 12 July, on the Sandro Pertini seafront in Pozzuoli, the event that celebrates Neapolitan pizza puts Neapolitan music at the center of its 2026 edition, in the year in which the city's melodic tradition aims for international recognition.
The idea was born from a precise parallel: after the art of the Neapolitan pizza chef was registered among the intangible assets protected by UNESCO, the event wants to support Naples to reach another historical milestone, this time with its songs.
The candidacy of Neapolitan song for UNESCO
The path towards UNESCO is now underway. The candidacy of the Neapolitan classical song, the author's repertoire born between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries which made songs such as 'O my sun, Return to Surriento And Funiculì Funiculàwas officially launched on 5 June 2026 at the Verona Arena, during the evening event broadcast on Rai 1. The scientific dossier is coordinated by the study group led by Renzo Arbore, with the aim of completing the process by 2028.
It is in this context that the choice of Pizza Village to give even more space to local music, transforming its stage into a showcase of contemporary Neapolitan tradition.
The announced artists: live talks with Gianni Simioli
The musical heart of the 2026 edition will be the live talks hosted by Gianni Simioli. Among the first artists announced are Franco Ricciardi, Walter Ricci, Andrea Sannino, Mirage Rosary, Tony Tammaro, Ivan Granatino, Francesco Da Vinci, Monica Sarnelli, Gianluca Capozzi, Thomas the First, Roberto Colella, Mavi And The Wishes. As per tradition, the organizers announce that other protagonists will soon be revealed, along with some surprises.
«Artists who today represent points of reference on the national scene have passed on our stage», declared the organizer Claudio Sebillo. «This year we want to give even more space to the talents and musical culture of the area».
The return to the seafront of Pozzuoli
The 2026 edition marks the return of the event to the sea, after the stages of previous years. On the seafront of Pozzuoli there are 22 pizzerias planned, six days of tastings, shows, concerts and meetings, with daily opening from 6pm to 1am. Sebillo defined the return as «a re-embrace of the sea that we have missed for a few years», claiming the identity of the format: «Pizza Village is the original. After Berlin, London, Milan and Rome, this year it arrives in Pozzuoli with an edition that will have an even more strongly Neapolitan origin”.
On the logistical front, the mayor of Pozzuoli Gigi Manzoni announced a plan dedicated to parking, shuttles and the strengthening of public transport, with the request to EAV and the Campania Region to increase road and rail travel even in the evening hours.

The Pozzuoli event, with its final surprise that the organizers prefer to keep confidential for now, promises to be the stage most linked to the Neapolitan musical identity, precisely in the year in which that tradition tries to enter the heritage of humanity.
