From 10 to 13 September, Doss Trento hosts the new edition of Poplar Festival: three stages between the Piedicastello neighborhood and the hill overlooking the city. Today, with the second release of the lineup, the billboard is enriched with international names and Italian confirmations.
Among the highlights already announced are I Cani, who will conclude their summer tour in Trento before a new break from the scene, and Floating Points live – an electronic project by Sam Shepherd, a national exclusive – capable of moving between orchestral compositions and immersive sets with which they redefine the boundaries of contemporary electronics.
The new ads add international weight to the billboard. The Avalanches, a cult band from Melbourne, bring their sonic kaleidoscope of psychedelic funk, big beat echoes and pop melancholy: the one in Trento will be one of the few Italian dates of their summer European tour, which also includes the Pitchfork Music Festival. Sama' Abdulhadi, Palestinian DJ and producer among the most relevant names on the international techno scene, brings a hypnotic set with high intensity between acid techno and electronics. And then Marco Castello, who returns to Doss with his mix of pop, funk and jazz nuances.
Among the other new names: Avalon Emerson & The Charm, a live project by the Californian producer; Madra Salach, a Dublin sextet that alternates lyrical ballads, psychedelia and ambient drones; Corto.Alto, Scottish contemporary jazz, broken beat and hip-hop project; Florence Road, Irish indie pop band rapidly rising internationally; Beaks, a Viennese project by Anna Francesca, between poetry and songs suspended between reality and dreams.
On the Italian front: Rares returns to Doss with Sincere!the new album with the collaborations of Giovanni Truppi andfacenuvola; Angelica Bove, born in 2003, fresh from Sanremo Giovani 2025 and her debut album Tana; Birthh, stage name of Alice Bisi, returning from the United States with a journey through soul, jazz and electronics; Aldolà Chivalà, a Neapolitan project that intertwines slam poetry, dialect and electronics.
The cultural programming — talks, exhibitions, performances — will be revealed in the coming months.
