The historic collection “MU – The Best Of Jethro Tull”, Jethro Tull's first official greatest hits, returns to stores to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary. Originally released in January 1976, the compilation will be revived on July 31st in a new limited edition on vinyl, personally curated by Ian Anderson.
The reissue features a new half-speed mastering, designed to further enhance the sound quality of the original recordings. The work was created by Miles Showell at the historic Abbey Road Studios, using the master originals.
The release is part of the “Spirit Of '76” initiative promoted by Warner Music Group, a project dedicated to some of the most significant releases of 1976. Like all editions of the campaign, this too will be available exclusively through independent record stores participating in the initiative.
Packaged with graphics faithful to the original edition, “MU – The Best Of Jethro Tull” collects songs published between 1969 and 1975, offering an overview of one of the most creative periods of the British formation. The setlist includes classics such as “Aqualung”, “Locomotive Breath”, “Living In The Past” and “Teacher”, as well as “Rainbow Blues”, previously unreleased on the official album and also included in this new reissue.
