“Me And The Trees” is the first single from CCCC, the new project born from the meeting between Chiara Civello and Clap! Clap! (Cristiano Crisci). The song officially inaugurates the path of Quarter Moon Records, the new independent label founded by Chiara Civello and dedicated to musical projects that cross different languages, geographies and disciplines.
Conceived as a space for international research and collaboration, Quarter Moon Records was born with the ambition of creating connections between different artists, scenes and traditions, welcoming works that move between songwriting, jazz, electronics and sound experimentation. Ra Di defines the visual identity of the label
Martino, an Italian artist among the most recognized voices on the contemporary scene, who signs the logo and graphic imagery of the label's various publications, strengthening its dialogue with the world of visual art from the beginning.
The first piece of this new path is CCCC, a collaboration between two of the most original figures on the contemporary Italian music scene. On the one hand Chiara Civello, singer, composer and author with a consolidated international career, developed between Europe, the United States and Brazil, with publications for Verve, Universal and Sony and collaborations with artists such as Burt Bacharach, Chico Buarque, Gilberto Gil and Esperanza Spalding. On the other Clap! Clap!, producer and composer recognized globally for his sound language capable of intertwining electronics, global rhythms, timbral research and club culture, also collaborating over the years with Paul Simon and publishing reference works for the English label Black Acre. Far from the logic of musical genres, CCCC was born as a space of shared exploration. A project that crosses electronics, jazz and art-pop, intertwining organic and digital elements, a sound territory free from genre conventions, in which song, improvisation, timbral research and profound reflections on spirituality, transformation, isolation and healing coexist.
“Me And The Trees” represents the first chapter of this artistic dialogue, a track that is a meditation on vulnerability, which finds in nature a model of adaptation, transformation and strength.
CCCC will be officially presented to the public on June 25th at the Casa del Jazz in Rome, on the occasion of Chiara Civello's concert. On stage, next to the singer-songwriter, Clap will also be present! Clap!, giving life to the project's first public appearance and offering a preview of the work that will be included in the album
debut scheduled for autumn 2026.
