Come back Musicultura 2026the Popular and Author Song Festival, now in its 37th edition. The final phase takes place in Macerata from 16 to 20 June, with the two final evenings of entertainment at the Sferisterio on 19 and 20 June, hosted for the second consecutive year by Carolina Di Domenico And Fabrizio Biggio. Main media partner is Rai.
On stage there will be alternating great guests and the eight young winners of the competition, resulting from a record selection that started last November with 2,656 songs entered.
Musicultura 2026, guests at the Sferisterio
The guests confirmed on the Sferisterio stage are Brunori Sas, Tosca, Planet Funk, The Vibrations, Marie Antoinette & Colombre, Riccardo Rossi, Santamarea, Giampaolo Morelli And Alan Sorrenti.
Among the absences, that of Ron. The artistic director explains it Ezio Nannipieri: “A special wish goes to Ron, contrary to expectations he will not be able to be with us, the doctors have prescribed him a period of rest, our affectionate goodbye goes to Rosalino.”
The winners of the Musicultura 2026 Competition
With the guests there will be the eight winners of the 37th edition, all authors of their own songs. These are the names, with the city of origin and the title of the song:

- DDUMA (Lecce) – War females
- MIDDLE BLACK (Bologna) – Feathers
- Urban Storyteller (Turin) – My roommate wants to kill me
- Isabella Privitera (Bologna) – Hey
- Giovanni Toscano (Pisa) – Emma
- Giulia Trovò (Treviso) – If I never come back
The winners were designated by the Musicultura Artistic Guarantee Committee, whose first signatories in 1990 were Fabrizio De André and Giorgio Caproni, and which today brings together dozens of names from Italian music and culture, from Claudio Baglioni to Carmen Consoli, from Vasco Rossi to Giorgia.
The prizes up for grabs
The vote of the Sferisterio public, at the end of the two evenings of 19 and 20 June, will decide the overall winner of Musicultura 2026to which the 20,000 euros of the Banca Macerata Prize will go. The Piero Cesanelli Critics' Plaque (3,000 euros), the Nuovo Imaie Award (10,000 euros, for the creation of a tour), the Award for the best text (2,000 euros) and the Grotte di Frasassi Award (2,000 euros), which also includes an artistic residency in the Marche caves, will also be awarded. For the third year, the La Casa in Riva al Mare Award (2,000 euros) is also awarded, assigned by a jury of inmates of the Barcaglione prison in Ancona.
La Controra, the festival spread across the city
Next to the competition returns The Controrathe offshoot of the festival which from 16 to 20 June animates squares, courtyards and buildings in the historic center of Macerata with concerts, meetings and exhibitions with free admission. Among the guests Ermanno Cavazzoni, Fabio Concato, Paola Turci, Francesco Sarcina, Stefano Dal Bianco, Susanna Nicchiarelli, Giampaolo Morelli, Tosca And Brunori Sastogether with the winners. Evenings on TV and tickets
The Sferisterio evenings will become a television program, broadcast on Rai 1 in the late evening on 13 July, with international broadcast on Rai Italia. The official radio of the festival is Rai Radio1, while Rainews24 and TgR will complete the story of the event.
