Day 2 of Coachella is the day of Justin Bieber's return to the stage for his first real show since 2021. In America, we know, Bieber is a kind of strange divinity and his presence has spread like a virus throughout the entire day, from the Geese who launch into a cover of his Baby to Julian Casablancas of the Strokes who on stage, half seriously and half jokingly, says a common truth: “We know because we're all here… I'm also here for Justin Bieber”. Let's take stock of what happened last night in the desert, a very manly day (is this why Addison Rae left the stage shouting “Suck my dick”?).
Jack White's very successful opening

Surprisingly announced a few days before the start of the festival, Jack White was called to open day 2, giving a whole new meaning to the start of the day. Under an already very hot tent, White did not skimp on pieces – from the White Stripes to the Racounters, yes, even Seven Nation Army) – setting the tone for the day.
The Geese pay homage to Justin Bieber

They are the rock band of the moment and playing the 'homage to Bieber' card could work to get rid of a certain snobbery (also seeing that the whole audience below the stage was singing Baby And 2122) and broaden your audience outside the scene. Rock is also about paying homage and desecrating and if this was the plan, what can I say, very successful.
The return (in great shape) of the Strokes
New single, new album announced, new tour underway. How nice to see Julian Casablancas and his companions back on stage. Time to break out the longsleeves.
Addison Rae's exit

A chaotic live show, above and below the stage, with Addison Rae intent on leaving her mark in every way. On such a rock day, full of men, however, she managed to pull it off with that brilliant “And to all my haters, suck my dick” with which she left the stage. Peace out.
Sombr invites Billy Corgan

The level of guests has increased compared to the previous day, but the idea of inviting someone and having them sing their own song continues. This time, however, to the delight of those present, Sombr brings Billy Corgan on stage for 1979one of the best singles in the Smashing Pumpkins discography. Well done.
This is what an entire Nine Inch Noize set sounds like

Finally we were able to take a more concrete look at the strange creature created by Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize. Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Boys Noize took to the stage, accompanied on several songs by Mariqueen Maandig, Reznor's wife. Industrial, electro, techno. These are the sounds of what we can expect from the new album, arriving next week.
Justin Bieber's karaoke

These years of absence have brought us back an unpredictable Justin Bieber. If the performance at the Grammys was unpredictable, there weren't many ideas on how the pop star could present himself at Coachella. And, in fact, who would have imagined that the boy could end up doing karaoke? Halfway through the show, Bieber sat at a desk, laptop in front of him, choosing videos from his discography from YouTube and then singing along with the help of the audience. Genius or madman?
