Thirty years after his debut with Against a sea wavethe singer-songwriter signs a project of twenty songs tuned to 432 Hzbuilt between memory, experimentation and a writing that also looks at the forms of programming.
The album was not born as a nostalgia operation, but as a return to a starting point reread from another time. Some titles re-emerge directly from the past, such as The Hermit – part II And On the wire – part IIbut they do not function as simple quotations: they become new stages of a broader discussion.
The ornament of secondary things he chooses a path that is little aligned with the more immediate forms of the present: twenty songs, instruments built ad hoc, non-standard tuning and a more circular than linear trend.

The new project of Max Gazzè looks at experimentation without losing the connection with the song. The album is tuned to 432 Hza different choice compared to the contemporary standard of 440 Hzand works on a more organic and layered sound dimension.
Personal memory, observation of the present, ethical questions and social fragilities coexist inside the album. The writing moves between internal images and references to the external world, with a less direct step than the single form and closer to a multi-panel narrative.
The reference to the first works is not only chronological. It came out in 1996 Against a sea wavealbum it contained The hermit. Today that song ideally returns with a second part, within a record that takes up some threads left open and takes them to another point in the artist's career.
The songs on the album between memory, ethics and fragility
The opening with The skinny farmer immediately introduces one of the themes of the album: slow time, sowing, the loss of illusions as a necessary step to get to the essential. The Hermit – part II continues this trajectory, not as an escape from the world but as a suspension before action.

The autumn tour of Max Gazzè
After the album's release, Max Gazzè will return live with a fall tour in the future 40 dates between October and December. The live project will be built around the idea of artistic residency: in each city the artist will stop for three consecutive evenings, with the exception of the long closure in Rome.
A choice that moves the concert from a single date to a story in multiple chapters, with the possibility of evolving the live performance night after night.
