The singer-songwriter from Livorno Cristiano Sbolci come back with the disc Out of fashionavailable in digital stores fromMay 8, 2026. The album marks a new chapter in the artist's musical journey: intimate writing and cinematic imagery meet in a sound dimension between auteur pop and retro suggestions.
The aesthetics of the Italian thriller of the 70s and the void left by an unrequited love are the two tracks on which it runs Out of fashion. With this solo project, Blossoms transforms sentimental pain into an emotional soundtrack, where the end of a relationship is experienced with the weight of mourning.
Cristiano Sbolci: the profound meaning of “Fuorimoda”
The path of Cristiano Sbolci (class 1989) has its roots in the Italian independent scene, from the collaboration with i Siberia leading the project Caleidoof which he was the frontman and author. Over the years he has also collaborated with artists such as Michele Merlo And Comets. Now, the Tuscan musician chooses a deeply personal sound direction distant from contemporary trends, as suggested by the title of the album itself.
Out of fashioninspired by Italian horror and thrillers of the 70s, develops as a sort of soundtrack in which love and death, light and darkness constantly coexist.

The album, written by Cristiano Sbolci and produced by Francesco Massidda And Federico Nardelliarises from the urgency of processing a romantic rejection. “In this album love and death move like two parallel forces, continuously intertwined“, explains the artist.
“The end of a relationship can take on the weight of mourning: it leaves an open wound, an absence that creeps into every space and that seems impossible to fill. “We die of love” is the thought that runs through the entire work: we live in the intensity of falling in love, when everything appears amplified and luminous; then there comes a moment when that light goes out and leaves room for silence, loss, a profound transformation“, he says Blossoms.
“Fuorimoda” collaborations
Absence becomes a constant presence that alters the perception of everyday life, transforming the song into an almost visual story. The sounds recall masters like Ennio Morricone, Stelvio Cipriani, Armando Trovajoli And Riz Ortolanievoking the colors of period horror and thrillers. The album develops between lights and shadows, seeking a synthesis between the intimate dimension of the writing and an orchestral sound depth.
To build this sound world, Cristiano Sbolci it involved notable names from the cultured and independent scene. Enrico Gabrielli (Calibro 35) embellishes tracks like with sax and flute Out of fashion (Opening credits) And The vice (End credits). The maestro's contribution also appears in this last piece Federico Maria Sardelli on the transverse flute. In the song The sound of a kiss however, the featuring of the Roman singer-songwriter is present Moxwhich adds a further piece to a mosaic of songs created not to follow passing trends.
