Zambrano sings to her baby in the ballad: “You're going to change my life”
Jay Wheeler and Zhamira Zambrano are expecting a baby girl. On Thursday, Zambrano announced that she and the Puerto Rican singer are expecting their first child in a sweet caption of the couple during a pregnancy shoot.
“Bienvenida,” read the caption, referencing the new single, which translates to “Welcome” in Spanish. “You're going to change my life/I'll give you what you ask for,” she sings on the soft ballad. “Don't take so long, I'm waiting for you/You're already welcome to change my life.”
The video jumps between clips of Zambrano singing the track's lyrics from inside a portrait studio and a picnic scene with her husband.
On Instagram, other artists congratulated the pair on the news. “FELICIDADES😍,” wrote Maria Becerra. “Felicidades pa 🖤🙏🏻 Blessings,” added Dei V. “What happiness damn!!! Believe me they are about to live the most beautiful thing in the world! 🤍,” added Mau of Mau y Ricky.
“Bienvenida” follows her single “7 Vidas” and last year's “Estrellita” and “Extrañándote,” a duet with Wheeler. The couple performed the track at the 2024 Latin AMAs in April. The former The band contestant also released “Dícelo” alongside Wheeler in 2022.
“The fact that people love a song that I have with my wife is beautiful,” Wheeler told Billboard in May. “Sometimes you can do songs with the person that you love, and it probably doesn't go that well.”
“But every time that song is [performed], people go crazy, people go absolutely wild. It's funny because the first time we collaborated and it became a hit,” he added.
