New York City is having what social media has dubbed a “generational summer.” The Knicks won in five, seesaws were installed in Herald Square, and Zohran Mamdani is mayor. Recently, Mamdani, now in his first term, reopened a playground, activated “Parents Night Out,” providing free child care to residents across the five boroughs, and has continued making good on his promise to hold landlords accountable.
And New Yorkers (plus plenty of people watching from beyond the city limits) are taking notice. TikTok and Instagram have become full-on Mamdani fan clubs, with users posting about everything from how he’s “showing us all of the good that government can do” to “I wish Mamdani could run for president.” The memes, naturally, have been flowing. Some of the most popular feature sad-faced Gen Zers gazing longingly at New York, with captions along the lines of: “This is what it looks like for the rest of the country watching New York have fun.”

Redbubble Zohran for New York City Coffee Cup Tote Bag
The iconic Anthora coffee cup, now with a Mamdani makeover. This tote is large enough to fit all of your daily belongings, while the double shoulder straps help distribute the weight so there’s less pressure on your back.
Now, those memes are spilling into something a little more tangible: Merch.
Recently, a slew of Mamdani products have started popping up on fan-created sites like Etsy and Redbubble. Among the offerings: Everything from “Mamdaddy’s Little Meatball” tees, a nod to the “Mamdaddy” thirst-trap nickname bestowed upon the 34-year-old politician, to posters celebrating Mamdani alongside an NYC icon: The bodega cat.
Mamdani has already been praised for his social-media savvy — the official mayoral TikTok account has more than 3.6 million followers — and now these products are proving to be another way the New Yorker is winning over the internet. So, we rounded up the best Mayor Mamdani merch to snag below. And don’t worry: You’re still allowed to buy it whether or not you pay New York City taxes.

Mamdanistan New York Basketball Sticker
“Living in Mamdanistan” is a joke you can’t escape on social media, so if you find yourself residing in one of the five boroughs, you might as well reclaim it. This sticker puts the phrase front and center, with the winning Knicks team along for good measure. Slap it on your water bottle, laptop, notebook, or anywhere else you want to broadcast your city pride.

Zohran Mamdani Rap Tee
One thing Mamdani can’t get away from? The thirst traps. The internet has dubbed him “Mamdaddy,” thanks to his boyish good looks and a smile that bears an uncanny resemblance to the baby in the sun from Teletubbies. The seller notes that the shirt comes in multiple sizes and is made from a cotton-polyester blend.

Saint Zohran Mamdani Prayer Candle
We’ve seen everyone from Justin Bieber to Madonna get the prayer candle treatment, and now it’s Mamdani’s turn to light up the night, or at least your apartment. Consider it especially useful if your landlord turns off your electricity. (Don’t worry, you can always call Zohran to help.)

Mamdaddy’s Little Meatball Oversized Sweatshirt
Walk up and down Seventh Avenue and you’ll spot shirts like these at just about every New York City souvenir stand. Now, you can get the “Mamdaddy’s Little Meatball” sweatshirt online without having to fight your way through the Times Square crowds. It comes in men’s and women’s sizes, and we suggest going up a size if you want an extra-cozy fit for the upcoming New York winter.
