The A24 film stars Pattinson as To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen alongside Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Matthew Maher, and Bokeem Woodbine
Phoebe Bridgers is part of the crew helping catch a predator in the official teaser for A24’s Primetime. The film stars Robert Pattinson as To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen, with Bridgers making her acting debut in a cast that also includes Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Matthew Maher, Anna Farris, and Bokeem Woodbine.
The teaser only offers one minute of footage from the upcoming film. As surveillance screens multiply, Pattinson introduces the premise with his best Hansen impression. “You see how this looks, right? At the end of the day, man must be held accountable for the decisions that he makes. Do you agree? Do you watch television? Well, there’s something you should know,” he says. “I’m Chris Hansen. This is To Catch a Predator of Dateline NBC and you’re about to be a part of television history. We’re going to be the number one show on TV.”
Bridgers’ character appears to be part of the team responsible for capturing incriminating footage of the men they caught red-handed. Primetime is directed by Lance Oppenheim with a screenplay from Ajon Singh. Pattinson is a producer on the film alongside Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen, Brighton McCloskey, Tyler Campellone, Fred Berger, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones.
Primetime does not yet have a release date. It follows A24’s Mother Mary, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Eternity, and The Drama, which features Alana Haim, and Marty Supreme, which put Tyler, the Creator on the big screen.
