STAR announces WARhis second official album, out Friday 12 June 2026 for Atlantic Records / Warner Music. The single precedes the album Ancelottiavailable from today 29 May on all digital platforms.
The project will be released digitally and in different physical formats: CD, black vinyl, signed CD, signed black vinyl and signed transparent vinyl. The pre-order and pre-save phase is already open on the rapper's official channels.
WAR: the concept inspired by David Lynch and Mulholland Drive
The most interesting aspect of the new work by STAR lies in the visual and narrative reference declared to a cinema genius. WAR in fact it takes inspiration from psychological cinema and the circular narrative structures of David Lynchespecially from Mulholland Drive.
The rapper chooses to bring into the album the common thread of the dream of success, of the industry that promises it and of the dissolution of the identity that accompanies both. Star underlines the mechanism of a system in which people often end up adapting to the version of themselves that others find most comfortable, where perception counts as much as reality.
Ancelotti: the single that opens the WAR phase
The first song taken from the album is Ancelottia banger built around the theme of personal affirmation. STAR uses the comparison with the most successful coach in world football to condense his position statements on soldiers, loyalty and victory.
The piece presents itself as a programmatic opening of the album: a positioning track, in which each bar is a declaration of intent rather than a story.
Who is STAR
STAR is an artist born in 2000, born to Moroccan parents and raised in Salsomaggiore Terme. His career started in 2019 with the meeting with SadtursMilanese producer born in 2003 who became one of the key figures in his career.
In 2021 he signs with the label of Ghali and releases his debut EP Vendetta. During 2023 he will participate in important releases on the Italian urban panorama, collaborating with Artie 5ive, Tony Boy, Kid Yugi, The Night Skinny and with Gué in the song Wifey. In December of the same year it appears in Celinetrace of PIZZA KEBAB Vol.1 Of Ghali.
His debut album was released in 2024, STARcertified Gold Record for Warner Music. They come out of the disc Paninaro with Artie 5ive And Tony Boy (Gold Record and over 20 million streams) e 1 MOMENT with Annain addition to collaborations with Simba La Rue And Cape Plaza.
It arrives in January 2025 ASTRO Deluxewith the single Maybach which enters the Top 200 of viral videos on TikTok. It publishes in November VIP PASS and then RAWcollection of seven unreleased songs. Subsequently participate in NO REGULAR MUSIC 2.5 with I have to change clothes feat. Lubi And Don't be afraid with Pope V. The new album will be announced in May 2026 WAR.
