“So be it” it develops along a journey, a path that has no precise destination, because the journey itself is the true meaning. It is a hymn to pure love in all its forms: that between two people who love each other, between brothers, between a person and their animal or, more profoundly, between a person and their soul.
The song invites us to reflect on how, after having opened our eyes and recognized the possibility of emerging from the darkness, we discover that everything we want is already present. Life, with its ups and downs, often brings us across bridges that seem to lead nowhere. But it is precisely in these moments that the journey continues, teaching us that changing perspective can be destabilizing, yes, but also liberating. The fragility we feel makes us free and authentic.
The curiosity to discover what awaits us, step by step, is the true meaning of freedom.
To enrich the creative universe of the piece, there are two extraordinary visual works. The cover, illustrated by Alessia Dear onesand the video clip illustrated by Eleonora Radaelli @iltrattodi_ele and directed by the frontwoman herself, Veronica Sottocornolaperfectly capture the spirit of the song. Iconic elements such as a 70s van, maps, travel backpacks, a teddy bear and a light feather evoke the desire to “take everything and go”, whether it is a real or metaphorical journey.
Veronica Howle
Veronica Howle is an alternative pop rock artistic project from the province of Lecco with an EP (“1.0” from 2017) and several singles, in Italian and English.
Among the numerous live appearances, the participation on the Lecco Pride stage, for the 2022 and 2023 editions, in a packed Piazza Garibaldi, is important.
The project also participated twice in “Cover Me”, a contest organized by the Noi&Springsteen group, reaching the final in both cases; The rearrangement of “Radio Nowhere” was selected and included in the vinyl collection of the best covers of all editions, coming second in the prestigious Tenco Award 2023, for the “Best collective project album” category.
In 2023 the recordings of the second EP are completedwith songs entirely in Italian; the artistic production was entrusted to the well-known producer Pietro Foresti.
The stories told describe a melancholic picture of rebirth from old wounds, all characterized by great emotion. The atmosphere is that of a light immersed in darkness, which only with it can shine in all its magic.
This is the backbone of the project, which aims to touch deep emotions.
In 2024 Veronica Howle signed with Sorry Mom!, with which she released the singles “Ira” and “Così sia”.
