One of the league’s two New York teams will face off against one of two Los Angeles teams for the trophy — no, we’re not talking about the Dodgers and the Yankees, but the feeling of déjà vu is understandable. Instead, Major League Soccer‘s New York Red Bulls will travel to Los Angeles to face the Galaxy for a shot at their first MLS Cup Trophy.
Meanwhile, Galaxy looks to secure their 6th title, 10 years to the day since their last title. The game will take place at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA.
At A Glance: How To Watch The MLS Cup Final
Whether you’ve been following the MLS Cup since it started or just tuning in to the final, there are a few ways to catch the game live.
Apple TV+
Apple TV is home to the MLS Season Pass, a subscription that gives you access to every regular and postseason game. Apple TV will stream the MLS Cup final for free — no Apple TV+ or MLS Season Pass required.
During the regular season, the MLS Season pass costs $14.99/mo and is available as a standalone subscription on Apple TV. That means you’ll need the Apple TV app to stream regular season games, but you don’t need an Apple TV+ subscription (Apple TV+ subscribers get a $2/mo discount on MLS Season Pass during the regular season). The final between Galaxy and Red Bulls will stream free, without a subscription to either Apple TV+ or MLS Season Pass.
The game will also air on FOX, which is available in most markets with an antenna or with a live TV streaming service such as Directv Stream, Fubo, or Hulu with Live TV.
Where to Get MLS Cup Tickets
If you’re looking to catch the game in person at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA, there are still last-minute stubs available. However, all of the tickets are sold at resale, so you can expect to pay more than face value.
The game will be played on the Galaxy’s home turf, as they finished with the highest regular-season point total of the two finalists. The Red Bulls finished 7th, toppling the higher-seeded New York City FC and Orlando City SC in the Semis and Conference finals. In the West, Galaxy dominated Minnesota 6-2 and eked out a 1-0 win over Seattle to secure their spot.
