The New Pornographers drummer was arrested for child pornography

Joe Seiders, the New Pornographers drummer, was arrested for possession of child pornography. The news comes from a communication from the Department of the Sheriff of the County of Riverside, in the United States.

A spokesman for the band said to Pitchfork: «All the members of the band are absolutely shocked, horrified and devastated by the news of the accusations against Joe Seiders. We immediately interrupted any link with him. Our thoughts go to all those who have been affected by his actions ».

According to the press release, the police officers were sent to investigate “a suspicious episode” in Palm Desert, California, April 7. Upon arrival, an 11 -year -old boy told the agents that “a stranger had recorded him with a cell phone while he was using the local toilet”. Seiders were notified of search mandates for his residence, his vehicle and his cell phone. According to the report, evidence was found that involve him in the two accidents reported and in other crimes, including the possession of child pornography.
