“Something different” is the new single from The Monarchyavailable on all digital channels, in distribution Believe from Friday 22 November 2024. It is a song that talks about resistance, determination but also failures. It is a hymn to holding on tightly to an idea even when the current would push us away, even when the culture of success fueled by numbers would convince us to let go.

An important new chapter for the rock band, which boasts a path in the independent scene since 2014: the first of four singles that represent a small concept on becoming “grown up”: a photograph of the last outpost of youth before the transition to age adult; in my hand a heavy suitcase, full of ambitions and certainties to be relocated.

The song was also produced and recorded by the band who chose to get involved here without any artistic compromise.

Together since 2014, The Monarchy I am Giulio Barlucchi, Matteo Frullano And Lorenzo Falorni. Their collaboration resulted in just over a year in the debut album, produced by Glaucus Boato (Neko at Stella), “We speak ten languages ​​but we don't know how to say goodbye“, released for Soviet Studio records.
