Last November 1st the highly acclaimed album was released THE CURE “SONGS OF A LOST WORLD”, the band's first unreleased album in 16 years and the first to reach #1 in the UK since 1992. During the evening of the day of release the band performed the album live at the Troxy in London in front of an audience of 3000 fans, with over a million people connected to the global live stream.
The exciting show titled “SONGS OF A LIVE WORLD : TROXY LONDON MMXXIV” will be published on 13 December and the proceeds will be donated to War Child (https://www.warchild.org.uk).
The live will be available on CD, black LP and black cassette. Also available: version with original album and live album on 2CD, 2LP and 2 cassettes. All versions can be pre-ordered on the official Universal Music Italia shop and will be shipped from 13 December 2024 with the exception of the vinyl and double vinyl, available from 14 February 2025.
Formed in 1978, in their career i The Cure they have sold over 30 million records, headlined Glastonbury four times and were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. The Cure are considered one of the most influential English bands to ever exist.
“SONGS OF A LOST WORLD” was written and arranged by Robert Smith, produced and mixed by Robert Smith & Paul Corkett and played by The Cure, i.e. Robert Smith: Vocals / Guitar / 6-string bass / Keyboards, Simon Gallup: Bass, Jason Cooper: Drums / percussion, Roger O'Donnell: Keyboards, Reeves Gabrels: Guitar.
