THE Public Image Ltd. Of John Lydon on their 2026 “This Is Not The Last Tour” they made a stop in Italy last night at Alcatraz in Milan.

PiL's This Is Not The Last Tour comes after Lydon gave up on the idea of the band undertaking new tours. His lifelong friend and manager, John Rambo Stevens, passed away suddenly after PiL's last tour in December 2023, shortly after the death of Lydon's wife, Nora, in April 2023.

Lydon thought this might be the end of his live activity. However, he was overwhelmed by the love and support from fans when he embarked on a spoken word tour of the UK in spring this year.
Lydon said: “I thought it might be the end. After losing Nora and Rambo, I couldn't see a way out. I'd already committed to the spoken word tour this spring, and I've never let anyone down – I always keep my word – so I had to do those dates.”

“The thing is, people have been so excited and asking me to tour PiL again. With so many people asking me and the band meaning so much to them, I couldn't stay on my couch and not tour, as tempting as it was.”

After fronting the Sex Pistols, John Lydon formed Public Image Ltd (PiL), a seminal post-punk band. Widely regarded as one of the most innovative groups of all time, their music and vision have earned them 5 UK Top 20 singles and 5 UK Top 20 albums.

With a changing lineup and a unique sound – fusing rock, dance, folk, pop and dub – Lydon led the band from 1978's debut album “First Issue” through 1992's “That What Is Not,” before a 17-year hiatus.

Lydon reactivated PiL in 2009, touring extensively and releasing three critically acclaimed albums, “This is PiL” (2012), “What The World Needs Now…” (2015) and “End of World” (2023).
