First images for “Je so' Crazy”, the biopic dedicated to Pino Daniele. In fact, the official trailer was released by 01 Distribution. The film, which will arrive in Italian cinemas on October 15th, tells the human and artistic journey of the great Neapolitan singer-songwriter, from the years of his youth in the alleys of Naples to the affirmation that consecrated him as one of the most important figures of Italian music.
Taking on the role of Pino Daniele is Massimiliano Caiazzo, an actor known for the series “Mare Fuori”, “History of my family” and “Uonderbois”. The direction is by Nicola Prosatore, his second feature film after his debut with “Piano Piano”, presented at the 75th Locarno Film Festival.
Below is the first official trailer of the film with Massimiliano Caiazzo in the role of Pino Daniele.
The film promises to tell not only the artist's musical career, but also the more personal aspects of his life, retracing the difficulties, passions and non-conformist character that contributed to making him a point of reference for Italian songwriting.
“Je so' Crazy” is freely inspired by the book “Pino Daniele. Everything that gave me emotion comes to light”, written by Alessandro Daniele, the musician's son. The production is managed by Filippo Valsecchi for Tartare Film and Camfilm, in collaboration with Rai Cinema. Filming took place between Naples and the province over approximately seven weeks.
