After Maroon 5's concert last June 25th, I-Days returns to the Milan racecourses with a long weekend full of concerts. Tomorrow 3 July there will be Florence + The Machine at the San Siro Hippodrome, the smaller one (9pm, at 7pm the Magic Street Preachers, before that the Cliffords); Sunday 5 July the Foo Fighters at the La Maura Hippodrome (starting at 8pm, before them Idles and Fat Dog); Monday 6th again at Maura, System of a Down with Queens of the Stone Age and Acid Bath.
Given the heat these days, some rules have been changed. At both the San Siro and Maura Hippodromes it will be possible to bring with you half-litre plastic water bottles without caps (for safety reasons) as well as plastic and soft silicone water bottles.
The organizers inform that, again with regards to water, «both inside and outside both racecourses there are water lances to combat the heat of these weeks. Furthermore, inside the Snai La Maura Hippodrome there will also be stations available where bottles and water bottles can be filled for free, which will be communicated to the public through the venue plan with direct emails to buyers and through the web channels of I-Days, Independent and Live Nation”.
Another welcome news made official: in all points of sale inside the racecourses it will be possible to pay cashless, via the Orlay Pay app (via smartphone) or with tokens. It is therefore not necessary to buy the latter.
From a technical point of view, we read in a press release, «the screens inside the La Maura Hippodrome have been strengthened and increased again this year with an offer of 800 square meters of high definition screens (a coverage that has nothing to envy of the main international festivals) both at the side of the stage and with the delay towers, positioned in the lawn».
For information on public transport and parking, the sites to consult are this one for the Snai San Siro Hippodrome, where TonyPitony, David Guetta and A$AP Rocky are also expected in September, and this one for the Snai La Maura Hippodrome where Bad Bunny will perform on 17 and 18 July.
