Ministry have announced what will be the final chapter of their story. The band led by Al Jourgensen will release their latest studio album, “Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery)” on October 30th for Cleopatra Records, which will be followed by a farewell tour destined to put an end to a career that began in 1981 and became fundamental to the evolution of industrial metal.
For some time Jourgensen had hinted that the project had reached the end of the line, but now the decision is final. With his usual direct language, the band leader summed up the moment with an eloquent “fucking done”. “I'm proud of what I've accomplished. I'm amazed at the path the band has taken since With Sympathy. How far we've come. Everything that's happened in between. It's been an incredible journey, but I'm ready to put this long adventure behind me. It's time to raise goats,” the musician said.
The single “Burned Out” (see below) precedes the album, accompanied by a video directed by Joshua Bradford and characterized by a strong political and social slant, a stylistic feature that has marked much of the group's most recent production.
Among the novelties of the album, the return of Paul Barker, historic collaborator and member of the classic formation of Ministry, also stands out, appearing in the final song “We're Still Here”, symbolically sealing the end of the band's journey.
Here is the tracklist of “Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery)”:
- Crickets
- Voices of Hate
- Clown Car
- We Hate
- Delete
- Grifter
- The White Man Song
- Singularity
- Burned Out
- We're Still Here (feat. Paul Barker)
The farewell tour will start with a series of concerts in the United States and then arrive in Europe in April 2027. Ministry will be joined by Die Krupps on a tour that will include the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Scandinavia and Finland. At the moment, however, no dates are scheduled in Italy.
