Friday 29 May 2026 it will be released in digital format Feet of stonethe new single from Lulu Massa. The song marks a new stage in the path of the alt/folk band from the Marche, confirming its oblique and narrative identity, and presents itself as a suspended crossing between reality and hallucination, between matter and perception.
A national park that emerges in an industrial area, an electric light that outlines feelings, restrained bodies: Piedi di pietra develops as a sequence of images rather than a linear story. Minimal details – a kiss on the cheek, a glance caught from the side – expand into symbolic scenarios, building a fragmented but coherent imagery, poised between intimacy and vision.
The piece holds together delicacy and tension: the writing proceeds through visions, while the sound remains essential and nervous, crossed by a constant electric current that finds its breaking point in the finale. An unstable emotional dimension emerges, where closeness and misunderstanding coexist without ever being resolved.
Feet of stone is accompanied by a video clip directed by Andrea La Muuf and performed by Eloise-Von and Ceres, which translates the visionary character of the song into images.
Alongside the single, the digital release includes the B-side Blitz, a remix edited by Frankie Wah of Little Pieces of Marmelade of the song Minà, already contained in the debut album BU! (2022, Musica Distesa): a more instinctive and dynamic reinterpretation that further expands the sound universe of the project.
Lulu Massa
Lulu Massa is a project from the Marche region that crosses lysergic songwriting and electric folk with visionary and layered writing. The name recalls the character played by Gian Maria Volonté in the film The working class goes to heaven, a reference to a disillusioned and lateral look at the present. Writing is constructed through images, characters and quotes, in a continuous short circuit between memory and contemporaneity.
The sound is essential and sharp, between strident ballads and wilder openings, with dreamlike lyrics and nocturnal visions, balanced between the shadow of the Velvet Underground and the poetic urgency of Bob Dylan. After the debut BU! (2022, Musica Distesa), produced by Giuliano Dottori and mastered by Guglielmo Nodari, the project is consolidated live, sharing the stage with Marino Severini and the Gang and opening for Giorgio Canali, Morgan and Ginevra Di Marco.
The current lineup includes Luca Ciattaglia (vocals and guitar), Riccardo Carducci (guitar and backing vocals), Matteo Stronati (bass and backing vocals), Andrea Giansanti (drums) and Federico Capitani (guitar). The new writing phase, also thanks to the valid artistic production of Frankie Wah of Little Pieces of Marmelade, marks an evolution of the project, of which Piedi di pietra represents a new stage.
