Luidji + Leevio: the photos of the concert in Santeria Toscana 31 of Milan

The latest album by Luidji, Season 00is the work of an outsider – a artist who tries to free himself from conventions. He wants to give breath and relief to his melancholy words, mixing a gloomy prose with light music. Luidji loves to intertwine or collide emotions, play with paradoxes to better define his identity.

When he started in the CORP capsule collective, talking about defects or insecurities was not an option. You had to be the strongest, the most beautiful, invincible. Virile and dominant. The ego came first of the courage. Today, at 32, he leaves labels and tricks to others. His universe is fed by anything else. Luidji does not need someone to validate his reality – his judge is himself. At his house, and perhaps this is precisely the reason why his songs are so fascinating and difficult to classify, it is all about opening up and discovered, without ever getting lost.

After publishing some EPs with Wagram – a path that in the end has not brought anywhere – he founded his label, Foufoune Palace Hellolicensed with Def Jam/Universal. When he wrote his first album, Sad business: season 1released in 2019, worked at night at Levallois' emergency room. “At the time I had some piece that turned on the internet and I kept asking me: I am an artist, a bluff, an impostor, a genius? What will I tell in 15 tracks? And then, who really cares about my life?”

We are looking for, facing the white page and the anxiety of repeating things already called a thousand times. “And I realize that, in the end, the only story I really needed to tell was that of a love triangle that I lived – one that completely upset my stomach, heart and brain …”
