Forty years after the release of “17 Re“, Litfiba record the reunion of the historic formation of the 1980s. After the publication of the unreleased “17 Re”, which was excluded from the original album at the time and subsequently released as a maxi-single, and after the reissues of “17 Re” and the live “12/5/87 (Aprite i Vostri Occhi)”, the Florentine band now announces a new live album recorded during the ongoing celebratory tour.
“17 Re 1986-2026” will be released on November 27th on CD and double LP and will document the twenty dates of the tour inaugurated last month in Perugia. Piero Pelù, Ghigo Renzulli, Antonio Aiazzi and Gianni Maroccolo are back together on stage, protagonists of the formation that gave life to one of the symbolic records of Italian rock of the 1980s. The live concert includes, for the first time in the group's history, the complete performance of “17 Re”, also accompanied by the title track of the same name later released as a single. The album is already available for pre-order.
The tour will continue throughout the summer with eighteen events still on the calendar:

The meaning of Pelù and companions' project arises from the desire to update the contents of those works. “17 Kings” becomes an explicit reflection on the contemporary balance of power, between technocracy, global conflicts and democracies in danger. “It's not a nostalgic operation – explains Pierò Pelù – This is demonstrated by the song that was born from the ashes of the ancient song excluded from the album. The melodies, parts of the lyrics, the harmony quite intact, but in reality everything has changed: rhythm, bits, groove and spirit”. The idea of the publication took shape with the celebrations for the forty years of the album, released in 1986, on the occasion of which the band will return live starting from 27 June and for 20 dates in the original lineup (Piero Pelù, Ghigo Renzulli, Antonio Aiazzi, Gianni Maroccolo), as had not happened since 2014.
