The limited engagement will run October 18 through 26 at Dolby Live at Park MGM
Blue Electric Light, the forthcoming 12th studio album from Lenny Kravitz, is setting off sparks in Las Vegas. On Monday, the musician announced the schedule for his upcoming residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The limited engagement will run from Oct. 18 through 26 in support of the record, out Friday, May 24.
The Blue Electric Light residency will span five nights, as of now. Kravitz will perform on Oct. 18, 19, 23, 25 and 26.
Tickets will be available in a general sale beginning Friday, May 24 at 10 am PST. Pre-sale tickets will be available for Citi cardmembers beginning Tuesday, May 21 at 10 am PST. Fan pre-sale tickets will be available beginning Wednesday, May 22 at 10 am PST. Other presales — including Live Nation and Ticketmaster, and MGM Rewards — will run on Thursday, May 23 from 10 am PST to 10 pm PST.
Blue Electric Light will mark the first full-length release from Kravitz since Raise Vibrations arrived in 2018. The musician recently described the vibe of the album as “Celebration. Life. Humanity. Love. Sexuality. Sensuality. Spirituality.” He added that the title of the record, and now the Vegas residency, came to him late in the recording process. Kravitz played most of the instruments on the project alongside guitarist Craig Ross.
“My definition of success was that I was really proud of the albums and of the recordings. But I didn't care that they were hits or they sold,” Kravitz told Rolling Stone in 2020, reflecting on his decades-long career. “I missed some moments where I should have been smelling the flowers. And so I'm now at a place in the last few years of my life where when I have any kind of success, I stop and I take a moment to take it in, because you should. I was always like, 'Yeah, whatever,' because my head was so stuck in the artistry and the making of these things. I didn't take that in and I should have.”
