The official trailer for Katseye: Wild Hearts is here; and notably, on-hiatus member Manon Bannerman is featured in a few short clips. Dubbed a “love letter to the Eyekons,” the movie follows the global girl group on their rise to superstardom and amid their transformation for their third EP. Tickets are on sale now via the movie's official website.
Set to “Pinky Up,” the trailer opens with shots of Katseye's field-filling festival performances at Coachella and Lollapalooza. Interspersed with talking heads shots with each member (except Bannerman) the group's leader Sophia muses, “How did we get to this point so quickly?” The rest of the trailer features behind-the-scenes looks into their dance rehearsals, recording sessions in the studio, meeting starstruck eyes at fan events, and footage from their music video sets. “New era, new aura,” Yoonchae says at the end of the trailer.
Bannerman is spotted in a few distinct moments of Katseye: Wild Hearts'trailer. She's seen during a dance rehearsal, a silly social media clip, and onstage from their Lollapalooza set, the latter of which came before her announcement in February to step away from Katseye.
Katseye: Wild Hearts is described as a “captivating journey into the group's bold new era and celebrates the fans who helped make it possible,” and arrives on Aug. 12, just before their third EP Wild drops on Aug. 14. They will head out on the Wildworld Tour in September, which hits cities in North America, the UK, and Europe.
Since debuting in 2024, the Katseye train hasn't slowed down. The girl group's second EP, Beautiful Chaoswas released last June and included viral tracks “Gnarly” and “Gabriela.” At the 2026 Grammy Awards, Katseye was nominated in two categories including Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Gabriela”). They received three American Music Awards this May, for Best Music Video (“Gnarly”), New Artist of the Year, and Breakthrough Pop Artist.
In February, Bannerman announced that she would be taking a hiatus from the group to “focus on her health and wellbeing.” Reports rose that she would rejoin her bandmates for their Coachella performance, but HYBE x Geffen denied the rumors. She later made a cameo during PinkPantheress' Coachella set.
Bannerman stated that she was having “positive conversations” with the label, but many Eyekons have speculated the extent of her hiatus, as she was not featured on “Pinky Up” or in its accompanying music video.
