Psychologists, DIY: guide to listening to the songs from the new album.
It comes out on Friday 29 November DIY (Bomba Dischi / Universal Music Italy), the new album by Psychologiststhe duo formed by Drast And Lil Kvneki.
The Psychologists they return with an intense album, full of authenticity and sincerity and with a very precise musical evolution. In these 13 tracks, they transmit their innate ability to speak to young people and, in particular, to Generation Z to which they belong, giving dignity to suffering in any of its forms and trying to help them embrace it and live with it, without denigrating it or pitying it.
There are many themes addressed, with more maturity and awareness than in past years: they range from love to anguish for the future and the disillusionment that their peers often experience due to what we hear around every day, such as – for example example – the forced need to fall into a current trend.
The title alludes to “Do It Yourself”, an ethic born and spread within punk culture that celebrates non-conformism and anti-consumerism.
DIYin fact, arises from the need to be free and to detach oneself from what is believed coolcool. It is an invitation to explore what distinguishes each of us and to express our uniqueness by escaping the concept of homologation apparently necessary to move forward.
