The project presented by the organizers
The President of Music Innovation Hub, Andrea Rapaccinistates: “We risk reducing music to a consumer product without realizing its revolutionary potential. To reconcile this social role with economic interests, it is necessary to adopt responsible and sustainable economic models, such as benefit businesses or social entrepreneurship. Music Innovation Hub is an example of this: it combines economic and social return. From this vision was born Futurae Heroes, a project to promote a new economic model through music, involving young generations and creating shared value. The goal is to rediscover the creative and educational role of the music industry, pushing it to change its rules in favor of a positive impact on society“.
For Claudio BossiCEO of Music Innovation Hub,”For Music Innovation Hub, Futurae Heroes represents a further evolution of Heroes Festival, MIH's music festival to promote the values and practices of environmental, social and economic sustainability. Futurae Heroes, in collaboration with Futura Expo, is a complex program of educational, training and musical initiatives aimed at projecting young men and women into the world of sustainable economics and businesses. It is aimed at high school and university students and young people who have entered the world of work. We must recognize young people's responsibility for building a better future also through business activity“.
“I believe that the Futura Heroes format has found the key to activating and engaging boys and girls who often have a clearer and more lucid vision on sustainability issues than us adults. Thought and their way of interpreting things are always a source of inspiration for me, as happened after the Youth States General which we concluded in May but which continue to produce invaluable stimuli, visions and solicitations to transform Brescia more and more into a city designed with them and for them. Welcome, therefore, to projects like these that can truly involve them, draw on their creativity and help them feel like protagonists at an age that often sees them relegated to simple users“, he says Anna FrattiniCouncilor with responsibility for Educational Policies, Equal Opportunities, Youth Policies and Social Sustainability.
And again, Simona TironiCouncilor for Education, Training and Work of the Lombardy Region, declares: “Futurae Heroes represents a unique opportunity to enhance the talent and creativity of the new generations, putting sustainability and innovation at the centre. It is a project that combines training, culture and business, offering young people the tools to become active protagonists of change and of the economic and social future. The combination of music, universal language and vehicle of change, and the direct involvement of children in the creation of concrete projects, represents a virtuous example of how institutions, businesses and society can collaborate to shape the future. The Lombardy Region is proud to support and promote initiatives that encourage the protagonism of the new generations, reaffirming our commitment to training that is increasingly oriented towards the future, innovation and sustainability“.
In the end, Roberto SacconePresident of Chamber of Commerce Of Bresciaillustrates: “Futura Expo 2025 will have the claim “Desire for the Future”, because it is necessary to recover the desire, enthusiasm and curiosity for this future yet to be built. A desire that is the lever to face the changes underway with courage and also with optimism, open and willing to question our beliefs and overcome the usual patterns that confine us to outdated categories of thought. From this perspective, young people will be at the center of FUTURA: they who will fully be the protagonists of this future, will play the roles of creators, ambassadors, speakers and visitors in March.
This time it will be us, the “old” generations, who will listen to understand their vision on crucial issues such as the future of technology, training, work and Europe and to open a real dialogue, an open and constructive debate . In this ambitious objective, the universal language of music will constitute a perfect bridge, capable of supporting us, also thanks to its testimonials, in stimulating the desire to participate in the construction of a model of economic and social development inspired by the principles of sustainability. Precisely because of the importance that young people have played and continue to play for the event, the Chamber of Commerce and Pro Brixia have joined Futurae Heroes as partners which will be one of the main projects aimed at young generations within the event“.
