Before the performance, Lorenzocorrespondent of TSR (Teen Social Radio), interviewed him exclusively for All Music Italy.
A spontaneous chat was born, in which the singer alternated deeper reflections with light moments, describing his artistic journey, his bond with his city, his passion for football and his relationship with music.
Giffoni Music Contest 2026: Interview with Gard
The interview opens with an unusual question: if you could relive just one day of your life, which one would you choose?
“The birth. Because I don't remember it and I wish I could remember it.”
A simple answer, which says a lot about the curiosity with which Gard looks at even the most intimate experiences of his life.
One of the most interesting passages comes when Lorenzo asks him for one “unpopular opinion” about the world of music. Gard takes the opportunity to touch on a topic that is deeply felt among younger people:
“We are afraid to say what we hear to be judged.”
A reflection that captures well the relationship of Generation Z with social media and with the judgment of others. He, however, says he has learned to experience music with more freedom:
“I don't care anymore. I listen to the artists I like.”
When asked about the last artist he listened to, he answers without hesitation: Marco Castello. A name that confirms his taste, far from the fashions of the moment.
The conversation then moves on to his origins, with a passage dedicated to the experience of Amici, which Gard remembers with serenity, and to football, one of his greatest passions.
