Band symbol of progressive metal, i DREAM THEATER will continue next summer celebrations for the return to training of drummer Mike Portnoy and for theirs “40th Anniversary Tour”: the live band will propose i large classics hey new songs of the album “Parasomnia”, due out in February 2025.
Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band, founded in Boston In the 1985 from John Petrucci, John Myung and Mike Portnoy. Despite some lineup changes, the three original members were always present in the group until September 8, 2010, the day on which Portnoy decided to leave the lineup. Replaced by Mike Mangini for over a decade, Portnoy made his return to the group in October 2023. Since 1991 James LaBrie has been the lead singer of the group, while Jordan Rudess has taken the place of keyboard player in the lineup since 1999.
The band states: “We were amazed by the reaction of our Italian fans to the announcement of the summer shows. It will be fantastic to perform in places so rich in history and culture. We have decided to add another show in Italy, in this country that we love so much. See you on July 17th in Turin for the final show of the 2025 Italian tour!”
