Diss Gacha goes out with IT'S NOT JUST SWAG Friday 8 May for Columbia Records Italy / Sony Music Italy. The album comes after the singles ART ATTACK And TOKYO DRIFT feat. Low-Red and will also be accompanied by a tour of Italian clubs scheduled for autumn 2026.
The project features collaborations with 22Simba, Silent Bob, Low-Red, LILCR, First room on the right And Giuliano Calza.
“It's not just swag”, the new album by Diss Gacha
With this album Diss Gacha try to go beyond the image built in recent years. The strong aesthetics, the direct language and the street influences remain, but within the project there is also a more personal and narrative part.
The concept revolves around the idea of identity and personal freedom. Even the tie, the central element of the artwork, is overturned in meaning: no longer a symbol of conformism, but a detail that becomes a distinctive sign.
A choice consistent with the path of the Turin artist, who in recent years has built a very recognizable imagery between fashion, American culture and references to the Italian scene.
The album does not open with one of the classic intros that the artist had accustomed the public to. As told by himself Diss Gachathe album starts directly with a hit together with First room on the rightwhich signs the melodic refrain, immediately giving tone and identity to the song.
In the text Gacha also takes a few pebbles out of the way on the question of samples, a topic that in recent months had involved producers such as Room And Drillionaireaccused by the public of “copying” the sounds of American artists and beyond.
The second track marks the return of the accompanying choir Diss Gacha for most of the song, strongly recalling the American west coast style. The choir had already been one of the central elements of Italian culture and also returns in this project.
The chorus is simple but immediate and stays in your head from the first listen thanks to its sounds strongly inspired by the American scene.
In the third chapter of BallasGacha teams up with LILCRone of the freshest names on the current scene. The rapper from Cinisello had already shown his qualities in the producer album of Room and here it confirms its value once again.
The result is a rap track that could easily find space on a radio in Los Santos, the fictional city of Grand Theft Auto. Changing the beat also allows you to Room to show off with a production full of details.
The fourth track is one of the deepest on the album and sees the collaboration with 22Simbatoday among the fittest rappers on the Italian scene and author of one of the most recognizable pens of the moment.
The two artists take turns telling their vision of a world “in which art reigns”. Here too the production of Room perfectly accompanies the two different styles, giving life to one of the songs destined to leave the greatest mark both on old fans and on those who are now approaching the music of Diss Gacha.
Sunday instead it represents the more radio-friendly side of the album. In the song with Silent Bob the choir returns once again, protagonist of an immediate and easy to remember refrain.
Silent Bob manages to adapt well to the style of Diss Gachawhile the atmosphere of the song almost recalls that of a Sunday choir, an element that makes it particularly accessible to a wider audience.
Trap music is one of the most experimental tracks on the project. It's very reminiscent of the song made by Diss Gacha in the producer album of Roombut here it finds a more coherent place within the album and closes the first part of the album in the best possible way.
The skit clearly divides the two souls of the project: the first, dominated by the Diss Gacha character, and the second more linked to Gabriele. In fact, in the skit we hear the phrase “my most intimate side makes me an icon”, a statement that anticipates the more personal tone of the second half of the album.
In Parades the desire to experiment continues. Halfway through the song he appears Giuliano Calzacreative director of GCDS.
Fashion and the search for one's own “creative direction” become the central themes of the track, perfectly in line with the imagery constructed by Diss Gacha in recent years.
The title track, at first listen, may seem like a simple banger built on powerful production. In reality the meaning of the song is much deeper: behind all the “swag” and aesthetics that Diss Gacha he wants to bring to Italy there is work, the desire to get involved and above all the support of the people around him.
Tokyo Drift with Low-Red has already been explored in depth in a dedicated article.
Art Attackthe first single from the project, had already clarified the direction of the album right from the start: a rap album that aims to bring the “swag” and typical imagery of the American scene to Italy.
Glory it is instead the most personal song on the album. Diss Gacha he dedicates it to his mother, describing their relationship, the sacrifices she made to allow him to grow and the bond built after success.
The song presents itself as a true love letter to his family, a theme that has always been central to his music.
300% ideally connects to 200% and it's full of references to American culture, come on Migos to Young Thug up to one of the latest hits of Kendrick Lamar.
Here too the dialogue between the choir and Diss Gacha it works perfectly, creating a balance that enhances both for the entire duration of the song.
The album's outro is finally a love letter to the entire journey built so far: family, fanbase and career.
During the song Diss Gacha he also says he paid for one of the features that changed his career, a rare detail to hear told with such sincerity. It is precisely this passage that makes the song particularly human: behind the character remains Gabriele, with his difficulties, sacrifices and the awareness of being no different from those who listen to him.
