Damiano David has released a new solo single, the second of his career outside Måneskin. Born with a Broken Heart it's not a ballad like Silverlineswhich came out four weeks ago and was presented in the United States by Jimmy Fallon, but a catchy and vaguely 80s uptempo. UpliftingEnglish speakers would say.
“When I wrote this song, I was coming out of a very dark moment, I felt apathetic and I was afraid of having lost my ability to feel and experience feelings, both positive and negative,” Damiano says in a press release. «All this happened at the moment when I was starting the most important relationship of my life and the fear of not being ready or up to it was enormous. I think this song was a way to make sense of what I was feeling, looking at it from a less scary perspective. I'm happy I don't feel like that anymore, but I think many people can find themselves in this sense of inadequacy.”
Regarding the video which will be released at 1pm today and which is directed by Aerin Moreno (Tate McRae, Madison Beer, Tinashe, Sofi Tukker), «it represents my imagination. A world where, regardless of everything, once you walk through the door, everything becomes magical and beautiful. It's a way of saying that not everything negative will hurt you, but sometimes it will actually lead you to the next chapter of your life. We all have the ability to turn negative experiences into something meaningful to us.”
It is not yet known when Damiano's solo album will be released. The performance of will be published on Monday 28th Born with a Broken Heart al Tonight Show by Fallon.
