Cut publishes on July 17 I messed upnew single out for Gold Leaves Academy.
The piece continues the path opened by ADHD and takes the artist from San Giuliano Milanese onto a more melodic terrain, close to R&B, leaving aside the more classic rap technicalities.
At the center of the song is the conflict between what we know about ourselves and what we still can't change. Mistakes, sense of guilt and fragility become the starting point to try to listen to one another without judging oneself.
“I messed up”: Cuta talks about the weight of the mistakes
In I messed up, Cut focuses on a common sensation: that of walking in balance within an everyday life that often tests.
Sometimes we move forward, other times we go back. The song was born precisely from that moment in which you ask yourself what isn't working, without however transforming the answer into a condemnation of yourself.
The song talks about fragility, doubts and insecurities, but also about the possibility of improving oneself without blaming oneself. The theme is not just falling into error, but understanding how to look at it without being crushed by it.
“I made a mess tells the conflict between awareness and inability to change: the weight of mistakes, the sense of guilt and the tension between the urgency to act and the impossibility of stopping.”
From rap to R&B: Cuta's new direction
With I messed up, Cut chooses a more melodic and introspective approach.
The song moves away from the more technical dimension of rap to work on more emotional writing, where the voice becomes a central part of the story.
After ADHDthe new single adds another piece to the artist's narrative: a more personal lens through which to read thoughts, impulses and repercussions.
The point is not to find an immediate solution, but to talk about that area in which you are aware of your mistakes and, at the same time, unable to avoid them completely.
