Spears alleged her sister wouldn’t let her hold her daughter Ivey, says she “will find a new family”
Britney Spears said she “will find a new family” in a new Instagram post on Monday, Nov. 2 after alleging her sister and ex-husband, Jamie Lynn Spears and Kevin Federline, made her “feel like a slave” during family visits to their homes, including to pick up her sons.
The post, which featured an image of a young Dakota Fanning flipping the middle finger in the 2003 film Uptown Girls, describes allegations against Jamie Lynn and Federline, including not letting Britney hold Jamie’s daughter Ivey and restricting her from using the restroom while picking up her sons.
“Jamie Lynn never let me hold Ivy [sic] one time when I would visit in Louisiana during covid in two week trips and Kevin wouldn’t let me use the bathroom when I would pick my children up in their house !!!,” Spears wrote. “They made me feel like a slave and have all their secret things they did behind my back and all I ever did was work for my dad.”
“I will find a new family !!!” she concluded.
In February, it was revealed Spears sold the rights to her complete music catalog to Primary Wave for an undisclosed price. Later, she was charged with a DUI and ordered to 12 months of summary probation, including a three-month DUI class and must attend weekly meetings with her psychologist and twice-monthly visits with her psychiatrist.
Spears released “She’ll Never Be Me,” a song she wrote with Justin Timberlake in October. It was originally set to appear on Britney.
Spears was in a controversial conservatorship for 13 years, which ended in November 2021. Her most recent album, Glory, was released in 2016.
