“Something more”, BRAFF's new album, is entirely focused on storytelling.
BRAFF moves away from the exclusively introspective perspective of his debut by proposing a set of stories in both first and third person: snapshots and fragmented slices of life that reflect the non-linear nature of memory, resulting in less sonic and thematic coherence compared to his previous work.
The beatmaker identity of BRAFF emerges with greater clarity, in particular through the inclusion of three self-produced instrumental skits that act as an interlude and glue between the different “acts” of the album.
The entire album was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered at the Larsen studio from now And dematteis. The video for the song “Outro” (only reason) was created in collaboration with the director Leonardo Del BeneWhile Stefania Carbonara he directed, among others, the official video for “Who Killed David Schulz?”.
The protagonists of the music video are the two Schulz brothers, Simon and David. The story is narrated by Doctor D, an ambiguous figure who accompanies the viewer throughout the story. The video opens with Braff's eyes closed and immediately cuts to Simon who is in the same bedroom. He is very ill: he is sweaty, agitated, trapped in what seems like a nightmare. His body goes through convulsions, as if reality were giving way. In other scenes Simon appears dressed as an investigator. He is working on a case that obsesses him, the murder of his brother David. Doctor D enters the scene by confronting Detective Simon about a local criminal, a man who believes he is someone else. This meeting reflects and anticipates the theme of dissociation and loss of identity. The truth gradually reveals itself. Simon is not a real investigator, but Doctor D's patient. He was the one who killed his brother David and built an alternate reality to bear the guilt. Doctor D, from the beginning, supports Simon's delirium, asking him for information on the case and supporting the patient's game. In the finale, it is Doctor D who awakens Simon, evidently his patient. The visual and narrative references are: The Tenant on the Third Floor, Twin Peaks and Shutter Island. The video at the beginning is in black and white and as soon as Simon loses control and can no longer recognize reality, the video becomes color as if to underline a fracture and a point of no return.

I write texts and words because it helps me feel better. I make beats because I enjoy them and I hope they inspire lyrics and words from others.
Constantly traveling between Genoa and Milan, Braff began his career in 2023 with producers and friends Desso & Dematteis – Larsen Studio (Genoa). His first single “Tributo (2013)” is a song dedicated to Italian music and rap which gets good feedback from the Italian hip hop community. He collaborates with DJ Kamo, historic DJ and face of Genoese and national hip hop, and releases his first album “OPPOSTI E CONTRASTI” (2024) produced by Desso & Dematteis (Larsen Studio in Genoa) and mastered by KIAVE at the Macro Beat Studio in Milan.
2024 is a year of growth and collaborations for Braff. During the “Never Sleep Records night” in Modena he opens for Moder. He collaborates on the album “Un bel giorno per mori” by rapper Fleg, together with the Roman Unke (Critical Flow winner).
Subsequently he collaborates with important producers of the Italian rap scene: DJ Fede, DJ Kamo and Macro Macro. These collaborations follow Braff's vision who voluntarily distances himself from the current music industry, “based on numbers and appearance”, going in search of his own identity, authenticity and coherence between person and artist.
2024 ends with an important recognition in HIP HOP STARZ TOUR: hidden talents, together with artists of the caliber of Michael Sorriso, Joelz, Caleydo, Bruno Bug.
In 2025 he dedicated himself to beatmaking and sampling, leading him to win 2nd place at the “ALL YOU CAN BEAT CHALLENGE” (Bologna) by Zesta and Phrome. He collaborates on the Ember album by G. Love, producer from Cremona (ex-Useless Wooden Toys), together with Fleg and DJ Erbo: an album characterized by a raw boom bap sound featuring mcs from all over Italy. He also forms an artistic bond with G. Love regarding the production of beats.
