On Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July Bad Bunny will be the protagonist of one of the most impressive musical events of the Italian summer. The La Maura Hippodrome in Milan will host two already sold-out concerts which will bring a total of 157 thousand spectators, approximately 78,500 per evening. An unprecedented achievement for a Spanish-speaking artist in our country, which certifies the extraordinary rise of Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, who has now established himself as one of the biggest stars in world music.
Bad Bunny's last Italian appearance dates back to 2019, but in these seven years his popularity has grown to impressive levels. While continuing to sing exclusively in Spanish and remaining faithful to his Puerto Rican roots, the artist has managed to conquer the charts around the world, breaking down every language barrier.
A record-breaking tour
The path to this success was marked by historic milestones. Already in 2020, “El Último Tour Del Mundo” became the first album entirely in Spanish to reach the top of the Billboard 200. Five years later, “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” further expanded its sound universe, fusing reggaeton and trap with salsa, música jíbara and Puerto Rican folk tradition. The album, which also reached first place in Italy, represents the fulcrum of the new show.
The “Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour”, inaugurated on November 21st in Santo Domingo, includes 57 concerts and has already exceeded 2.5 million tickets sold. More than a simple succession of hits, the show talks about Puerto Rico, its culture and its identity, also addressing issues such as emigration, gentrification and the protection of collective memory.
On stage all this takes shape in an almost three-hour show, divided into different chapters. The rhythmic explosions of the perreo alternate with more intimate and nostalgic moments, with a real band accompanying Bad Bunny thanks to wind instruments, percussion and arrangements that recall salsa, distancing the concert from the typical format of many urban productions built mainly on pre-recorded bases.
“La Casita” between cultural symbol and controversy
The most recognizable scenographic element of the tour is “La Casita”, the reproduction of a traditional Puerto Rican house placed in the center of the audience. With the roof transformed into a second stage, the patio and the characteristic pink walls, the structure aims to evoke the atmosphere of neighborhood parties and the artist's connection with his homeland.
However, the scenography ended up at the center of several controversies. In many stages of the tour, access to the house was reserved mainly for celebrities, influencers and selected guests, arousing criticism from those who saw this choice as a contradiction to the message of inclusion and resistance to gentrification that “La Casita” would like to represent.
Added to this was the protest of the owner of the house in Humacao who supposedly inspired the scenography. The man stated that he had authorized the use of the house only for a video, contesting its subsequent reproduction on the tour and the continuous pilgrimage of fans in front of his property.
Regardless of the controversies, the concert maintains a strong symbolic value. Throughout his career, Bad Bunny has often used his popularity to address issues such as gender violence, the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, discrimination and racism. Even his recent participation in the Super Bowl halftime show transformed Puerto Rican music and symbols into a declaration of identity and cultural belonging.

The Milanese public will witness a journey through all phases of Bad Bunny's career, with particular attention to the songs of “Debí Tirar Más Fotos”, without giving up the great successes that marked his international rise.
