The influence and memory of Dan Auerbach’s father looms large over the Black Keys’ latest album Peaches!, a collection of obscure blues and soul covers that the band recorded while Auerbach’s father was in the final stages of a cancer battle. Chuck Auerbach died March 29, just a month before his son and Keys drummer Pat Carney dropped their LP on May 1. In a new interview with Rolling Stone’s Nashville Now podcast, Auerbach admits that Peaches!, despite its ebullient nature, can be hard for him to listen to, especially the track “It’s a Dream,” originally cut by Charles Fisher…

Autopsies are inherently messy, but any forensic scientist would lose their license if they left as much blood splattered around the room as the DNC's 2024 election report. The process was chaotic from the start — a report commissioned, left unfinished, hidden by the top brass and then, when scooped by CNN's Edward-Isaac Dovere, suddenly released into the world riddled with crimson annotations that alternately disavowed and apologized for the shoddy product. This combination of defensiveness and reflexive apology is a perfect encapsulation of the problems facing the Democratic Party. This is a shambolic shame because there is a real…
In the wake of his 2016 death, Prince left behind an enviable vault containing thousands of unreleased songs, most of which will likely never see the light of day. While the late musician's estate has shared a few selections from the collection over the years, there's one in particular that Paul McCartney is hoping they'll come around to releasing: a recorded cover Prince of the Beatles' Let It Be single, “The Long and Winding Road.” “I was with some guy couple of years ago, so it was after Prince had died, and this guy said, 'Have you heard Prince do…
It is available from Friday 22 May 2026 on all digital platforms”There isn't a reason”, the new single by Alessio Longoni (out for Frost Discs / Believe Music Italy), an intense and contemporary reflection on the human need to start over, even when there is no logical reason to do so. Between certainties that transform, relationships that evolve and fragilities that teach, the song passes through deep emotions with a direct and authentic language.…
