“Momma gets by while Papa gets high,” Paul McCartney sings at the end of his superb new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane. It's a story he's kept telling his whole career — the ballad of a tough, lonely, but resilient old woman, who nobody else even notices. He's always written songs about these women, going back to “Eleanor Rigby” and “Lady Madonna” to “Another Day” or “Jenny Wren.” This is Paul's favorite kind of person to sing about — or maybe just his favorite kind of person. It's always been something that sets McCartney apart from other male songwriters…
Tireless metronomes in marking sonic barbarism between vulgarity and visionary ideas, the Americans from Portland under the name of Diabolic Oath try not to let the fire generated go out… Daniel D`Amico for SANREMO.FM
One twist after another. Despite the cancellation of Hellwatt Festival and the controversies that continue to surround the matter, the organizers do not seem willing to give up. In a long statement published on social media, the festival team announced that it will still try to bring Kanye West to Italy on July 18th.«In the next few days we will try to ask Kanye West's team and all our technicians if it would be possible to bring him to a location near Reggio Emilia again on July 18, 2026», we read in the note. “We will try it for you…
Election season seemingly never ends in America, but this year’s midterms are already shaping up to be a clash of unrestrained forces. The electoral anger of Americans stoked by increasing costs and disapproval over the Trump administration’s first two years of governance versus an increasingly erratic Donald Trump attempting to keep his stranglehold on the GOP and their congressional majority. With no presidential race on the ballot, the midterms are a chance for political hopefuls to step into the spotlight, but that doesn’t mean Trump isn’t trying to make them about himself. The president has already made clear that he…

Tiziano Ferro concretely opens up the possibility of participating in the competition Sanremo Festival. He did so in recent days in a meeting with the press for the presentation of I'm a big guy – Deluxeanswering a question from Adnkronos with words that leave no ambiguity. “I would like to participate in the competition at the Sanremo Festival: with the right song I would do it. I have changed, today I am more serene and I wouldn't care about the competition. The participation of Georgie taught us that not being in the top five is not a problem”. A statement…

Photo Deborah Brugnera We all have a gig of a lifetime. Being a simple sweetbread, mine was at the Fontigo beer festival (hardcore Treviso countryside) about twenty years ago. On stage, a Paul Di Anno still in excellent shape but, evidently, in financial troubles, together with the Children of the Damned. I remember it as something powerful and visceral, Di Anno (i.e., HE – the voice of “Iron Maiden” and “Killers”), even on that tiny stage, was a real beast and ranted into the microphone ten feet away from me and to a hundred other rowdy people, while we screamed…
Rondodasosa dissed Sfera Ebbasta in the new song he released tonight, title Crown: “Sfera Ebbasta, you were the trap king“, stop in the track.”Too bad, now you're not anymore / You've lost your credibility / People on the street don't listen to you anymore / You've never done anything for hip hop / You've only made money from hip hop“In the image that serves as the cover of the track, the hands that place the crown over Rondo's head are precisely those of Sfera. And there's even a joke about Drake: “The difference between you and Drake?/That he's Iceman, you're frozen”.…
