David Bowie‘s archive at London’s V&A East Storehouse is set to go on tour across the UK. The David Bowie Centre opened at the new working store and visitor attraction at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford last autumn. It comprises over 90,000 of the late star’s possessions, as well as curated exhibitions of objects by Bowie collaborator Nile Rodgers and super-fans The Last Dinner Party. Today (Wednesday July 1), it has been announced that a new national tour will bring highlights from the V&A’s Bowie archive to venues across the UK over multiple years. More than 100 pieces…
London trio Mary In The Junkyard cheekily dub their sound “weepy chaos rok”, but they often summon something far more: an intricate magic weaved from vocalist and guitarist Clari Freeman-Taylor’s poetic, observational eye and freewheeling arrangements, equally informed by wiry math-laden contemporaries and elegant classical stylings. After a tireless couple of years and adventures stateside (a two-month tour with Wet Leg included), the former NME Cover stars have gone from courting Corsica buzz to counting fans in Marina Abramović. Facing their long-awaited debut upon this new foundation, ‘Role Model Hermit’ opens self-reflexive: “It is yours babe, you deserve it,” Freeman-Taylor…
NoIa Smith is caught between her ambition to speed up and her desire for a break. It's been two years since the release of the British soul star's debut EP 'Give Up The Fear' and, while the rollout itself was “pretty chill”, life has felt non-stop ever since. While her first single, the EP's soulful and resilient title-track, was a perfect introduction to Smith as an artist, it was her collaboration with Jamaican dancehall superstar Popcaan on the remix of her track 'Personal' that really blew things up. In the aftermath, she's been nominated for the Rising Star award at…

“Fuck the fucking ceiling”.This is how Erin Hoagg, aka Rare DM, summarizes the attitude of “Attention”, her second work. Darkwave has a limit – she says – and it doesn't want to stop before it has gone beyond that limit. Imposed by who or imposed by what we cannot imagine, but Rare DM is too pop to be confined to a genre and too performative to be considered goth-adjacent. In this album desire is intertwined with obsession, electroclash, minimal wave and Ebm coordinates are taken until they are pushed further, onto the dancefloor of an imaginary club seen through a…

vote7.5 Bands: TEMPLE GUARD Duration: 00:25:12 Available from: 11/06/2026 The fire evoked in the title is not just a metaphor: in the Temple Guard it is almost a permanent condition. For years the English band has been building its trajectory around an idea of music experienced as a declaration of war, a mixture of urgency and hardcore ethics, metal heaviness and militant vision that leaves little room for half measures. “Citadel in Flames” therefore arrives as a new chapter in a saga carried forward with surprising consistency: a job every two years or so, regular live activity and an increasingly…
«It's another song that took a while to mature. It had to make it into the album in some form at some point Ibut we didn't get to finish it, but it's always been one of my favorites.”Full moon, new song. Peter Gabriel published another piece from o\ithe album he will release later in 2026. It's called I Belong to the Sky and from a sound point of view it starts from a tom-tom pattern played with timpani sticks, the ones with felt heads, inspired by the 1960 documentary Jazz on a summer day which chronicled the 1958 Newport Jazz…
Guitarist Bob Britt has spoken out about his departure from Bob Dylan‘s live backing band. Over the weekend, Britt was reported to have left the touring line-up after he shared a brief social media post that was later deleted. He had played with Dylan since 2019, and been a regular fixture during the ‘Rough And Rowdy Ways’ tour.
