Sam Fender and Olivia Dean have broken the record for the longest-running UK Number One single of all time with their hit track ‘Rein Me In’. The milestone marks a huge win for the two singers and for Universal Music UK’s Polydor Label Group, as it has now hit 19 weeks at the top of the UK Official Singles Chart. With the record-breaking accomplishment, the song overtakes Frankie Laine’s ‘I Believe’ for the title, which spent 18 weeks at the top spot on the charts across three separate runs in 1953. The record stood for 73 years. Released over a…

Unless I’m at the beach or a pool, shorts make me feel underdressed, and every sock option (or lack thereof) doesn’t sit right with my tastes. Luckily, when it’s just too hot for any normal pants, there is an alternative to shorts: linen pants. At a Glance: The Best Linen Pants for Men The best linen pants offer almost the same level of airiness and comfort as a pair of shorts,…

Boy George has responded to criticism of his pro-Israel song ‘We Will Dance Again’, insisting that he “comes from a place of peace”. The Culture Club singer had been due to play King Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar at the London Palladium for a two-week run from Monday (August 3), but his manager Paul Kemsley announced yesterday (July 30) that he had withdrawn from the production. Long before the first artist took the stage at Stateside on the Fourth of July, Hertz made the journey feel like part of the experience.  As the official car-rental partner of Rolling Stone’s inaugural festival in Kingston, N.Y., Hertz helped kick off the weekend before festival-goers even arrived on site. That was certainly the case for Sydney Rose and Nick Mateyunas of Arcy Drive, two artists on this year’s lineup, who hit the road together en route to Stateside.   After picking up their rental from Hertz, where they were greeted by members of Hertz’s beloved Gold Squad (a fleet of Golden Retrievers!), the pair…

My passion for the music of Phish led me to become a radio host, and for over 20 years, I’ve gotten to do what I love. So when the band recently wrapped their 92nd through 96th shows at Madison Square Garden, a five-night stand built entirely around their early-Nineties run, it brought me right back to discovering them for the first time. Each MSG night pulled only from that era’s songbook. Trey Anastasio, Phish’s frontman, even dressed the part, working in period-specific looks featuring T-shirt designs he hadn’t busted out in years. Their songs, their stage antics, their banter, their…

A federal judge has paused a lawsuit accusing Drake and streamer Adin Ross of using the online casino platform Stake.us to bankroll a “bot army” that allegedly artificially inflated streams of Drake’s music. In a 20-page opinion obtained by Rolling Stone, U.S. District Judge Leonie M. Brinkema ruled Thursday that the plaintiffs agreed to binding arbitration with Stake when they accessed the platform to play casino-style games. The agreement requires them to pursue their claims against Stake before a private arbitrator rather than in court, the judge said. Brinkema essentially halted the plaintiffs’ related claims against Drake, Ross, and Australian…

Well, the Trump administration has just shared one of its most ironic deportation videos yet. On Thursday, the White House‘s official TikTok page used a snippet of Bad Bunny‘s song “La Mudanza” to celebrate Donald Trump’s cruel immigration policies in their latest propaganda clip. “A round of applause for Donald J Trump because he really crushed it,” the video reads over clips of the president looking victorious before switching over to a montage of migrants getting detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, otherwise known as ICE. The text is a reference to the song’s lyrics, which see Bad Bunny congratulating and thanking…
