Decca Classics has launched two new official Pavarotti football shirts ahead of the 2026 World Cup – check out images of the shirts below. An autobiography from the late legendary composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, titled Music Sets You Free: A Memoir, has been announced today (June 9). The memoir from the “godfather of electronic music” will be released on September 22 via HarperVia books. A statement from publishers HarperVia (an imprint of Harper Collins) described it as “the complete autobiography from the legendary and fearless musician, composer, and activist Ryuichi Sakamoto, in a brilliant translation from the Japanese by Sam Bett and with the full support and collaboration of Sakamoto’s estate and management team.” You can pre-order the memoir here. R&B singer Chris Brown has reached a “settlement in principle” with a lyricist who claimed he was cut out of millions in revenues from Brown's hit songs “Sensational” and “Monalisa,” according to a new court filing. In a notice of settlement obtained by Rolling Stonethe plaintiffs, Steve Chokpelle, said the agreement would resolve all of his claims against Brown and Universal Music Group, effectively removing them from the royalties lawsuit. James Blood Ulmer, the innovative guitarist who fused avant-garde jazz with funk and the blues, died on June 3, according to a statement his family published via DownBeat. A cause of death was not immediately available, but his family said Ulmer died “peacefully.” He was 86. Known for a unique approach to improvisation and his warm, husky voice, Ulmer settled into a niche of his own in the late Seventies and early Eighties.
