The legendary London independent label will release its second volume of newly printed classic singles, titled ‘Rough Trade 45s: Volume 2’, on October 30. The two-day event will take place in Stowe, Vermont, this September Noah Kahan will grab his acoustic guitar and putter for his second “Folk and Fairways” charity event, taking place Sept. 14 and 15 at Spruce Peak in Stowe, Vermont.  The two-day event will feature a golf tournament and a solo acoustic performance from the musician and recent Rolling Stone cover star. Amy Helm, singer-songwriter and daughter of late Band member Levon Helm, has been accused of self-dealing, trademark infringement, and causing $2 million in damages to Levon Helm Studios (LHS), among other charges, according to a new lawsuit filed in federal court on Monday, August 10.In a 61-page complaint obtained by Pitchfork, LHS claims Amy Helm charged $400,000 to the studio to cover personal expenses and took an additional $200,000 from the Levon Helm Estate, including from an LLC used to distribute royalties from Levon’s final albums, thereby preventing the Estate from sending money to those who worked on the projects.…

The news last week that producer William Orbit had died at age 69 sent people back to revisit one of the most remarkable catalogs in Nineties pop.
