Chappell Roan has announced a two-night benefit event in Los Angeles to raise money for trans youth and LGBTQ+ communities. Electronic producer William Orbit has died aged 69. In a statement posted to social media, Orbit (born William Wainwright) was announced to have passed away at home on July 23. No cause of death was given. “We are deeply saddened by his passing,” the statement read. “He will be greatly missed by us and by so many whose lives he touched through his music, friendship and kindness.” A prolific producer in his own right, Orbit worked with a number of musicians including Madonna, Blur, Ricky Martin, Britney Spears and more. Women’s safety campaigners are calling for Jared Leto‘s upcoming 2027 UK tour to be cancelled in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations made against him. It comes after the BBC aired the Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret documentary which saw 10 women make allegations relating to alleged encounters with the Oscar-winning actor and Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman between 2002 and 2016.
