ARISA, “SING AGAIN”: MEANING OF THE SONG
Sing again It was written by the same Arisa It addresses the issue of bullying and talks about love, protection and the unbreakable bond that ties a mother and her child.
With this song and through his voice, Arisa it is capable of touching the deepest chords of the soul and of giving a caress to the heart of every single person closely touched by this delicate theme.
On the matter, Arisa tells: «Andrea was a victim of bullying, of that reality that should never exist and that led him to such deep suffering that he was no longer able to live».
“It is shocking to think that the world has not been able to welcome his diversity with love and respect, but the greatest pain is that which his mother had to face, seeing her son pass away and who finds herself living with this void every day.”
“When I sing these words I think of her, of all the mothers who carry the weight of the world on their shoulders for their children and who would do anything to protect them but who in certain moments find themselves helpless in the face of hatred and ignorance. Their beauty and their strength, even in the most atrocious pain, never fades.”
“A mother never stops loving and protecting even when she can't hug her child again.”
On the song, however, he admits: “With this song I want to pay homage to the courage of mothers, like Andrea's, and remind everyone that every life deserves respect and love, no one should feel alone and judged for who they are”.
And he concludes by raising his voice on the subject: “The wounds of bullying can be devastating and the pain of a mother who loses a child is such that no words can soothe them. I hope this song can be a caress for these broken hearts, a way to say Sing again Despite everything, your voice matters and your love lives forever.”
